SOAP Notes is officially available on the app store!

As the title said above, you can now download SOAP Notes on the app store. It is currently an iPhone/iPod touch app (which can work for iPad, just doesn't have iPad optimized screens) and will soon have its own iPad screens built in.

Now you may be thinking, what exactly is a SOAP Note? Basically, SOAP Notes are used to document client/patient visits to help a doctor/trainer/analyst keep track of relevant information for each patient's visit. For example, a trainer would want to keep track of a client's weight and other measurements each visit to note any changes from one visit to the last. The trainer would also want to track what was done to produce those results, which could further help this client and possibly other clients who might want similar results.

SOAP Notes (the app) helps a person write SOAP Notes for each of his or her clients' visits and help maintain a database of knowledge for the treatments that produce results (or don't produce results). SOAP Notes (the app) has a feature called "stamps" where a user can customize a table full of lines of commonly typed phrases and sentences which helps create SOAP Notes much more quickly than having to type in every word in an iPhone or iPod touch. Check out the landing page for more information.

If you want to know more about SOAP Notes (the note style) like how to write SOAP Notes and/or how to customize SOAP Notes for your needs, check this writeup out: http://www.ideafit.com/fitness-library/taking-soap-notes

Watts 1.1 update now live; Speed Dial 2.0 update submitted

Watts - A power converter (version 1.1)The Watts - A Power converter 1.1 update is now available on the app store. The one thing that's new in this version is that Watts is now a universal app. Also, if people had tried to install Watts on an iPad it fixes the screens for those devices.

Speed Dial with Photo (version 2.0)Speed Dial 2.0 was submitted to the app store. It should take about a week to get approved and made available. New in this version is the ability to edit labels. Lots of people have asked for that at one time or another.

Another new feature is the ability to turn the labels off, which other people have also asked about. When turning off the labels it also increases the contact image size so it still utilizes as much screen as possible with the images.

I also modified the UI elements for a much-needed update for retina display devices. The icon also got tweeked to make a better 3D effect instead of the old two color icon. The new icon is much easier on the eyes I feel. (especially after staring at the old one for reference while creating the new one)

Website redesign complete

I think the website redesign is complete. You'll notice a new support page and form for those looking for help/leave feedback. There are also all-new app landing pages for the paid apps as well as a shared free app page that has all six currently-free apps on there. I made a new banner image for the website that incorporated the Eclectic DNA logo I have used a few times in various apps. Poke around, check out what's new.

On the app front our new app "SOAP Notes" is in review and should be released fairly soon. I have two major updates to do for both Speed Dial and Treadmill Calorie Calculator, as well as making "Soap Notes" a universal app. (its own iPad version) Look for those three things in the coming month.

End of January

Ok so my original goal to get the two apps out, and update TCC by the end of January fell a little short. We did get Zen Garden 2 out which you can check out here: http://bit.ly/zkg351 I also was able to get the update to TCC as well as TCC Free before the end of January.

Not bad... Still have a bit of work to do. I was also playing around with updating the website with some cleaner looks, as well as better landing pages for each of the individual apps, but haven't decided on a general theme yet. Squarespace doesn't have an exact structure that I like so I'll have to mess around with what they have to get a look I'm comfortable with.
